Continental Can Company, established in 1910, was one of the largest can manufacturers in the world. It was also one of the largest can making equipment manufacturers. In 1988, Figgie Packaging purchased the Can Seamer product line from Continental Can Company, which became known as the Closetech Can Seamer.

The 2000 Series Seamers include Rotary Double Seamers (RDS) as well as Rotary Closing Machines (RCM). The 2000 Series has been designed with the versatility necessary to accommodate the full range of can sizes manufactured in your plant. Can height changes can be accomplished in a matter of minutes. This quick change feature is the result of a totally new concept which provides for the support and driving of all height change related seaming components directly from the Top Housing. This unique design eliminates the need for sliding shaft and key fits found in other Double Seamers.

The 2000 Series Models range from the 2003, 3-spindle machine for speeds up to 300cpm with the ability to seam cans from 211 to 701 diameter to the 2006, 6-spindle machine for speeds up to 600cpm with ability to seam cans from 202 to 404 diameter.

PneumaticScaleAngelus also manufactures a wide range of High Speed Seamers from the 2003HCM, for seaming cans (211 to 701 diameter) at up to 450cpm to the 2008HCM, for seaming cans (200-300 diameter) at speeds up to 1200cpm.

PneumaticScaleAngelus also manufactures Ultra High Speed Seamers for the Beer/Beverage industry including the 2200UHCM for seaming cans (202 to 211 diameter) at speeds up to 2000cpm and the 3200UHCM, for seaming cans (200 to 211 diameter) at speeds up to 3000cpm.
